When you're on a roll, it's good to keep the momentum going... so we're very pleased to welcome another new member to the STICKY Ideas & Advertising team. So say 'ello to Elliott Richards, our brand new Account Manager!
When the time allows we'll obviously be letting off the party poppers and giving him the bumps (is that allowed anymore?) but until then we'll have to rely on a hard-hitting zoomers interview to find out five little facts about Mr Richards.
1. I'll admit it, I'm a football nut.
Yes, at the tender age of 38, I'm still playing – well, in between knee ops. I was a budding pro and spent time at some big clubs like Birmingham City and Crewe Alexandre, before settling for football in open fields (aka cabbage patches) with one man and his dog in attendance. Still like to coach when my knees don’t work, and am involved with the Uni of Gloucestershire football coaching staff.
2. I'm part Russian.
Strange but true. The grandparents of my mother’s side of the family are Russian. They're from a town called Kybartai, in modern day Lithuania. I don’t speak a word of the language unfortunately, but I don't mind the Vodka...
3. ... however I much prefer rum!
By far and away my favourite drink is rum. In fact, it's rum and ginger with a twist of lime. Captain Jack Sparrow is my hero rum drinker.
4. I have an obsession with good smells and with smelling good.
I buy smelly candles obsessively. Ones with manly scents like sawdust and sandalwood. And I buy those things you stick in your plug sockets. And I am always spraying on eau de toilette. And I even make my own soap from time to time.
5. I used to be Elwood J Blues in a Blues Brother's Tribute Band.
That’s the taller one with the harmonica, by the way. It started when my best friend and I were 18. Didn’t quite make it global but we certainly went local. Christmas parties, birthdays etc. We lived the rock and roll lifestyle. Our tour vehicle was my N-reg Citroen AX.
