We were approached by SAS Rope & Rail to design an engaging website. They wanted something different - a site that was clear about what they did, confident in its tone & style, and optimised to make the most of SEO. We jumped at the chance!
SAS are access and safety experts, with specialist skills that mean they can literally go where others can’t. With some fantastic photography we were excited to find creative ways to show off their services. So without belay (gerrit?), we started dreaming of an immersive experience to communicate the unique services SAS offer.
The team at SAS loved our initial concepts - AND the results! Built in WordPress so they can keep their site updated and relevant by sharing industry insights and news, they now have an optimised, responsive site with just enough fun to bring their business alive.
Watch the video below to get the idea of the result or visit the SAS site here. We love nothing more than happy clients and this site is a real highlight, with stylish but subtle interactions and effcient loading times making it creative and effective. Plus, we can't stop scrolling back and forth to control the wee speed boat ; )

In the intial stages of working with SAS we wrote a Tone of Voice document that set out guidance for creating and writing content. Based on the company values - and the quiet confidence in how they approach their work - it now gives them a consistent structure to follow across all communications.
One unseasonably beautiful October day, we met up with the team from SAS to document one of their water safety operations. We captured the narrative of the day using video and stills giving us a suite of fly-on-the-wall style imagery for the website and socials. With lots of high-vis and peril at a safe distance, this shoot really communicates why SAS Rope & Rail are so good at what they do.
Creating a website is a unique task depending on a client's specific needs balanced with good creative thinking and up-to-date technical efficiency. While SAS Rope & Rail wanted a site that was engaging and helped you experience the type of work they did, some might need an ecommerce platform, or a resource library, or a shopwindow, or a basic digital presence. Whatever you need, we work closely to consult with all stakeholders to make sure your organisation recieves a solution that satisfies the brief and works for the end user. Giving everyone something to smile about!
